Along with being able to get everything past their parents, younger siblings are apparently the funniest sibling in the family, according to a new YouGov UK survey. In an effort to understand how birth order shapes personality, the market research company polled 1,782 first and last-born adult siblings in British families in January of last year.

Participants were asked to rate 10 different personality traits as compared to their older or younger sibling, including characteristics like confident and family-oriented. In the end, the younger siblings were more funny, laid back, and relaxed than their elders, while older siblings were more responsible, successful, and organised.

"To some extent age itself, rather than family dynamics, may be responsible for the differing characteristics," writes YouGov of the results. "Older children, having had more time to get on in life, are more likely to say they are more successful than their siblings."
