After nine months of what appeared to be a less-than-pleasant pregnancy, Whitney Port has given birth to a baby boy named Sonny Sanford Rosenman. The TV personality took to Instagram to announce the exciting news, posting a shot of what appears to be a hand-painted welcome home sign or card. "Everyone is so happy and healthy and we are home now," she captioned the photo, adding that his official birthday was this past Friday, July 27. Sonny, which means "son of ours," is often used as the name for the first male child in the family, reports Baby Names. While it was most popular in the year 2003, as our sister site Who What Wear points out, the name definitely has a mid-century vibe to it.

Sorry I've been MIA for like a week! I lost my phone. Just kidding!! I made a human! Sonny Sanford Rosenman was born on 7/27/17!! Everyone is so happy and healthy and we are home now. I'm going to try my very best to not be one of those moms whose feed is dominated by their baby but I can totally see how difficult it will be not to. I am beyond obsessed and in love and wish I could bottle this feeling for all of you out there. Check out the blog (link in bio) for more and welcome our little one to the world!! ❤️❤️❤️
