We're just a month into 2017 but already it's clear that newly-engaged couples will be taking a new direction when it comes to planning their "I dos." Yesterday The Knot released its annual Wedding Trends Report of the top trends for 2017. While décor and cake decorating are still of interest, the hottest items on the list take a departure from tradition to adopt a more timely attitude toward tying the knot.

More and more couples are taking an active roll in going green and reducing the footprint of their festivities.
