Ride the Wave of the Latest Trend

Peter Dolkas
When Olivia Kim was recruited by Nordstrom from her star buyer position at Opening Ceremony, her main task as Director of Creative Projects was to find what was cool and put it in the department store's monthly Pop-In shops. This month, with Surf City, she has confirmed that the surf trend is undoubtedly gnarly. Besides teaching the latest slang (did you know that Arthur Bronzerly means all-day-at-the-beach tan?), the Pop-In shop provides rad finds like ceramics from Rachel Howe, the Brooklyn-based ceramicist behind Small Spells, and a rubber neck camera strap from the studio of former Teen Vogue Accessories Editor Sarah Frances Kuhn. It's definitely time to ride the wave of this trend, at least until Kim inspires the next.  n1
