Inside a Cool Rustic Retreat in Downtown Brooklyn

Sacha Strebe

This stylish loft just oozes cool. Accessories designer Adam Davidson and his partner, Owen Wright, have impeccable taste and an innate skill for being thrifty, it seems. Much of their interior is vintage, handmade, or sourced from thrift stores and Craigslist—one of the favourite, affordable places to buy furniture in the U.S. The stunning 1960s red fireplace in the living room and Scandinavian dining room table were both sourced from the popular online classifieds site. The retro aesthetic is balanced by super-stylish designer pieces, including the George Nelson pendant lamp, which Davidson scored for free from an architecture firm that was closing down. Now that’s divine timing. Scroll down to see more of this Brooklyn abode through photos by Yunhee Kim for Lonny.
