Inside a Fairy-Tale Royal Wedding in Bavaria
While their titles might make Bavaria's newest royals seem completely unrelatable, Hereditary Prince Franz Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg met his new wife Cleopatra von Adelsheim von Ernest in a remarkably ordinary way: at a friend's 30th birthday bash. The two were inseparable, and after a few years of dating, the prince got down on one knee and declared that the actress, model, and baroness would become a princess.
Naturally, their nuptials were as regal and extravagant as the couple's names might suggest. The event took place at the bride's father's estate in Adelsheim, Germany, with a royal-packed guest list of roughly 800 attendees. Cleo, as her friend's call her, wore a custom-made gown by Milanese designer Luisa Beccaria, Vogue reports, topped with a diamond tiara befitting of a new princess. Stunning sculptural bouquets adorned the estate, and children were given whimsical flower crowns, making wildflowers a theme of the day. Take a look at the extravagant summer wedding that looks as if it's been lifted from the pages of a fairy tale.
