Pantone Has Spoken: These Are the Most Fashionable Colours for 2018
After watching the stampede of models storm the runways for New York Fashion Week, the Pantone Color Institute has curated its annual NYFW trend report for the coming season. While the below 12 colourways have caught the eye of fashion designers, what they send down the catwalk has a tendency to infiltrate all areas of design (including interiors).
"The colour palette showcases an appreciation for the complexity and distinctiveness of colour and the expression of it, which is something that evolves and can be played with," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. "Consumers need more variety, and this expanded palette embraces the lack of gender and seasonal borders we are seeing within the fashion industry."
For the first time, the Color Institute has also included a set of four classic spring colours, which they describe as a "family of colour that transcends the seasons and provides structure to any wardrobe." Check out the new Spring 2018 colours below, and consider adding a pop of Meadowlark or Chili Oil in your home come spring.
