9 Ways to Welcome Pantone’s Colours of the Year Into Your Home

Jason Grant

Pantone decreeded the colours of 2016 rose quartz (pale pink) and serenity (pale blue) and I couldn’t be happier! These softer versions of bold, brighter shades are easy to work with and add to your space in a big or small way. No need for a total overhaul, a good interior grows with time and you can add and subtract as you go—it’s all in the edit.

I love the calm, soft but fresh undertone of these two shades, and don’t forget that soft, sea foam greens are also part of this retro-tastic pastel family. These colours work with the overarching trend away for the black, white and grey, cool monotone looks we have been seeing of late. Minimal Scandi looks will be refreshed with these soft but strong colours. Whether you add accessories, art, soft furnishing, or paint, these colours will freshen any space in your home. Shop these looks to add a touch of these dreamy shades to your home.
