This Retro-Inspired Italian Restaurant is Adelaide’s Latest Hotspot

In no mean feat, it has been hailed one of the world’s best 10 new restaurants in 2016 by CNN and is now unsurprisingly one of Adelaide’s latest hotspots—introducing, Osteria Oggi—the Italian restaurant that has everyone talking.

“Oggi” means “today” in Italian which sums up their first-class offering of seasonal produce and freshly-made pasta teamed with a curated wine list. Not only is the menu first-class, but the interior is just as impressive.

Renowned local architect Studio Gram designed an Italian piazza-inspired setting in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD complete with a cobblestoned floor, arched doorways, and a mezzanine-level kitchen. Our favourite feature of the paired-back and muted fit-out? The vines hanging from the row of converted tin cylinder planters above the seating plan created by talented plant stylist, Emma Sadie Thomson. Scroll on to take a tour through this retro-inspired space then book yourself a table for the next time you’re gracing the South Australian capital with your presence.
