Oprah Just Bought an $10.5 Million Island Compound in Washington State

Kelsey Clark

It appears that media mogul Oprah Winfrey is moving to the Pacific Northwest. As Variety reports, Winfrey dished out around $10.5 million on a secluded compound on Washington State's Orcas Island, which is one of the four islands comprising the San Juan Islands archipelago in between Seattle and Vancouver. The compound consists of two waterfront properties housing four bedrooms and five bathrooms in addition to a guest house dubbed the "gallery house". Replete with reclaimed wood, exposed ceiling beams, skylights, stone fireplaces, hand-forged ironwork, and wooden floorboards, the three-story main residence is every bit the cabin fantasy. The entire property houses a cosy library nook, a game room, a home office, a wine cellar, a tasting room, a woodworking studio, a gym, a yoga studio, a sauna, an Asian garden, private hiking trails, a pond, half a mile of rugged beach, and more. Step inside Oprah's latest adventure in real estate below.
