It's Official: This Is Where the Obamas Are Currently Vacationing

Friday's inauguration marked the end of Barack Obama's eight-year stint as president of the United States. He and wife Michelle celebrated just like any newly minted "regular" American family would: by jetting off to the British Virgin Islands aboard Richard Branson's private jet.

According to The Virgin Islands Daily News, the Obamas landed at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport late Monday night and will spend their holiday on a 74-acre stretch of idyllic paradise known as Necker Island. The private isle is home to one eco-friendly resort that houses a maximum of 30 guests at a time, with rates starting at $78,000 (USD) per night for the entire island.

As one of the few private islands available for rent, the Balinese villas are about as exclusive as you can get. Serviced by just 100 staff members, guests can snorkel, scuba dive, sail, waterski, paddleboard, lounge around the pool and spa, or even go on a daytime excursion. It's safe to say we're jealous.
