5 Surprising Ways to Clean Your Home Naturally

Fortunately, cleaning doesn't need to be toxic nor complicated. With a few simple household items and natural products, you can create your own cleaning solutions that will keep your home both clean and healthy.

All-Purpose Spray Cleaner

Ideal for everyday use and safe to use on all surfaces. Combine ingredients in a 16-ounce or larger spray bottle, spray on and wipe clean with a kitchen towel. 1 cup water 1 cup hydrogen peroxide 1/2 teaspoon pure castile soap 8 drops clove essential oil 6 drops lemon essential oil 3 drops cinnamon essential oil 2 drops eucalyptus essential oil 1 drop rosemary essential oil


Mix ingredients together into a scrub. Clean stuck-on messes and stains by applying scrub, letting sit one minute, and working with a damp sponge. 1 cup baking soda 1/4 cup pure castile soap 10 drops lemon essential oil 10 drops tea tree essential oil

Shower and Tub Spray

Spray your tub or shower with this cleaner, let it sit one minute, apply a dollop of the scrub (above), and work in a circular motion with a sponge. Rinse with warm water. 2 cups water 2 tablespoons pure castile soap 10 drops tea tree essential oil 5 drops lemon or lavender essential oil

Window Spray

Spray this cleaner on your windows and wipe dry with a clean flour sack kitchen towel. 1 part vinegar 4 parts water

Air Freshener
