This Australian It-Girl Reveals Her Travel Essentials

Lauren Powell

Australian It-girl and model Nadia Fairfax is the definition of a jetsetter. If her wanderlust-inducing Instagram account is anything to go by, it’s not unusual for her to be soaking up rays on Bondi Beach one day, then strolling the snow-lined streets of New York City the next. Hello, dream life.

So when the stylish Sydney local shared her top travel tips and most memorable escapes in a charming video created in collaboration with travel and lifestyle communications agency, Wanderlust Union, we were ready to book out next escape on the spot.

From her travel motto, cure for jet lag, never-leave-home-without essentials, and go-to hotel, Fairfax has just proven she is the ultimate travel pro. Scroll down for her travel secrets.

My travel motto would be…

“Is it time for a rosé yet?”

Your most memorable travel moment?

“All the time I’ve spent in Bodrum in Turkey at a beautiful hotel called Macakizi which was just magical.”

What’s your jet lag cure?

“My cure for jet lag would be just jumping in the ocean where possible.”

Where do you check in time and time again?

“Lately I keep checking into La Horizon Resort and Spa in Palm Springs.”

What are your travel essentials?

“Always statement earrings, as they can dress up any outfit, so it really doesn’t matter what you’ve packed. My Samsung camera, it’s a must and it also works Wi-Fi to my phone so I can post photos straight away. A great hair dryer, and a little black dress.”

Where to next?

“I’d love to go on Safari in South Africa.”

What are your favourite travel apps?

“When people ask me ‘Where should I go this weekend?’ I go straight to Mr & Mrs Smith and type out the list [laughs].”
