The Most Affordable Sydney Suburbs to Buy a Property in Today
Even as the Sydney property market fluctuates, it continues to be the most expensive capital city in Australia in which to buy a home, with the current median house price at $1,000,000 (well ahead of the next highest, Melbourne at just $700,000). So it’s still a tricky time for many Sydneysiders to get their foot on the property ladder. In light of this, property leader Domain has confirmed the most affordable locations for house-hunters to consider.
“The simple equation is that Sydney has too many people and not enough houses, with a chronic undersupply of new low rise development land on the fringe,” explains Dr Andrew Wilson, Domain’s Chief Economist. “Demand for affordable property in Sydney is pushing prices up strongly in outer suburban areas, plus the existing high levels of infrastructure, particularly transport, are another key driver of price growth and demand in Sydney’s outer west and south west suburbs.” Read on to find out Sydney's most affordable suburbs in which to buy a property today.
