While it seems like the entire world (including us) has been paying close attention to every detail of the royal wedding, there is one person who likely knows more than anyone else. Markle's best friend, Canadian stylist Jessica Mulroney, has been there every step of the way and, according to a source close to Mulroney, she's been acting as an "unofficial wedding planner" for the couple, Vanity Fair reports.
Markle hasn't yet announced who her maid of honour will be, but Mulroney is surely in the running. Along with two professional event organisers and catering firms, Mulroney has been a major part of the wedding planning process, going above and beyond the duties of a best friend. "She is Meghan's best friend and the person Meghan trusts with helping to plan every detail," the source tells Vanity Fair. "She's the one helping Meghan to make all the key decisions. They are on the phone daily discussing every element of the wedding, from the dress to the flowers to the canapés and the photography."
According to the mag, Mulroney's role as a wedding planner for the couple is in line with an unofficial rule that no one over the age of 40 is too involved in the planning process. So far, the reception seems to be full of fresh ideas. The couple broke tradition with their cake selection and has hired a trendy London florist to design their flower arrangements. Mulroney was also a part of Markle's wedding dress shopping, according to VF. "Meghan loves Jessica's style and relies on her expertise," says the source.
Having a best friend who's able to help you plan all the details of your wedding day is something truly special. We can't wait to find out what else Markle and Mulroney have planned for the big day.
