Manta Restaurant

It’s not surprising to say that we love the long weekend. But, we really do. Not only does it give us four, uninterrupted days of respite. But, the mini-holiday also serves as a sacred opportunity to get stuck into our ever-growing bucket lists. Whether it’s putting a serious dent in your reading list, catching up on your sleep debt, or partaking in a relaxing staycation with your S.O., this weekend can find us, at our latest culinary obsession: Manta Restaurant. Located in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo, Manta’s focus in primarily on using sustainable and fresh seafood—wait till you try the oysters.

While adopting a farm-to-table philosophy is part of the reason behind its success, the other is reason is executive chef Daniel Hughes whose focus on quality produce has permeated through every dish that leaves the kitchen. Whether it’s the char-grilled free-range chicken accompanied by caramelised onion purée, or the spaghettini mancini with black mussels, chilli, garlic, white wine, and baby basil, there’s no doubt you’ll leave impressed (and filled to the brim). See you there.
