Here's what you should do every Monday to ensure a healthy and productive week ahead:

Wake up early

Starting your week on the right foot begins with a restful night's sleep on Sunday. According to Michelle Obama, Tim Cook, and Martha Stewart, you should start your Monday morning anywhere between 3 and 6 a.m. to set yourself up for success. When you're lying in bed on Monday morning, pressing the snooze button for the third time, ask yourself, Am I going to feel better or worse when I arrive at the office 20 minutes late?


While you may want to treat your Monday as an extension of your lazy Sunday, heading to the gym before or after work is arguably the best way to set positive intentions for the week ahead. Not only is exercising good for your mental health, but it also gets your circulation flowing and helps you to feel awake and alert. Try recruiting a workout buddy to kick-start your exercise resolutions.

Eat a healthy breakfast

How can you be expected to be productive on a Monday morning without a healthy and well-balanced breakfast?
