Halle Berry Just Did an At-Home Ab Workout Using Only Paper Plates
We're in perpetual awe of Halle Berry, whether it be of her multidimensional talent, luminous skin, impossibly fit figure, or a combination of the three. While genetics obviously play a role in all of these attributes, Berry definitely puts in the work. She's extremely committed to her health and regularly documents both her diet and fitness regimen on her Instagram Stories.
Today, for #FitnessFriday, Berry shared an easy at-home workout using none other than paper plates.
"Today is all about having fun," she said in the Instagram story video. "I'm going to show you an exercise you can do at home. If you don't have these fancy things called slides, who needs the slides? You can take two paper plates, that everybody has, and you can do slide runners." Considering Berry's physique, we're definitely taking note of this easy exercise.
Berry is referring to "core sliders," which are dual-sided foam and plastic foot sliders that allow you to seamlessly move your feet up and down on carpet or hardwood floors while in the push-up position. They make for a great core workout, as your ab muscles stabilise your body while your feet move up and down.
Though you can buy proper ones at an affordable price, Berry's use of paper plates is decidedly more economical. While they'd probably work on carpet and hardwood floors as well, the actress can be seen doing the slide runners on grass. She recommends doing "between 25 and 50 of these, for three to five sets, whatever your fitness level is." See Berry in position below.
