10 Daily Habits of Super-Confident People

In order to be a success in life, you have to believe that you are capable of succeeding. You have to have a certain level of confidence where you wake up and say I can do this. While some days I hop out of bed and feel wildly confident with my creative writing skills, other days, I feel timid, doubtful, and pessimistic. Luckily, like many things in life, confidence can be learned. A recent Inc. article talks about how to stay motivated and confident in the coming months. Chris Dessi, the CEO of Silverback Social, shares 10 daily habits of super-confident people. Since we can all use a little confidence boost every now and then, I rounded the habits up below.

1. Meditate. “When we feel insecure, it manifests itself in myriad ways. Our bodies don't work. We can't focus. Insecurity creeps in when we're not living in the present moment,” Dessi explains. “Taking control of our monkey brain is a profound step toward true self-confidence.” Start out by doing just five or 10 minutes of meditation per day.

2. Think inside the box. We’re taught to "think outside of the box," but sometimes when you think inside the box—when you execute on what you know and are good at—you can feel more free and confident.

3. Learn something new every day. The more you know, the more confident you will be. Plus, learning is fun! Even if it’s random stuff like when the first hot air balloon was invented. Knowing random facts has its perks—especially if you play a lot of trivia.

4. Teach. Sharing what you know will make you feel more fulfilled as a human being. Feeling more fulfilled will boost your confidence levels.

5. Take control of your career. Dessi recommends starting a personal blog that will allow you to create content that inspires you. Confidence will naturally follow.

6. Exercise. Everyone knows the benefits of regular exercise. According to the Mayo Clinic, “You may feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem."

7. Get more sleep. Getting enough sleep will help your brain and body.

8. Volunteer and give back. Dessi puts it like this: “Who knows, you may heal someone, and you may heal your own soul.”

9. Socialise. Build a community of people who support you. Even if it's virtual—having a social tribe is better than not having one.

10. Get curious. Seek out people who are more experienced than you. “Learning from them will instill a powerful calm of knowing,” Dessi explains.
