Step Inside an Australian Fashion Designer’s Relaxed Balinese Villa

Australian fashion design, Georgia Hall, has been living the enviable Balinese dream for over a decade now, and it appears she has mastered it. The founder of fashion label State of Georgia and mother to baby boy River, resides in a tranquil, but cool abode in the Indonesian capital.

It’s here in Bali that her flagship bricks and mortar store resides, and the factory where her vibrant and feminine collection is produced. And for Hall, her partner and baby boy, River, it’s all about the simple life while living in Bali. “I’m loving getting up early on Sunday morning and heading to this cute little farmers market in Canggu—I can stock up on organic food for the week and River gets to feed the geese and play with the other Bali babies—something he loves to do,” Hall told The Grace Tales. “And I love lying in my hammock watching River play, the simple things in life are always the best.”

The effortlessly stylish home could be described as rustic and minimal and is complete with an array of natural timbers, concrete floors and industrial finishes with hints of bold colour and pattern. And like most Balinese villas, it is surrounded with a flourishing garden included palms, bamboo and frangipani trees.
