Earlier this morning, George and Amal Clooney officially welcomed two new family members: boy-girl twins named Alexander and Ella. According to the couple's representative, Stan Rosenfield, "Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy, and doing fine" while George, oddly, is "sedated and should recover in a few days."
The news that the actor and the international human rights lawyer were expecting broke back in February, after The Talk's Julie Chen revealed that "Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins." The couple's pregnancy has remained fairly under wraps ever since, aside from when George's mother, Nina Clooney, revealed the sex of the babies: "It will be one of each! Yes, a boy and a girl," she confirmed earlier this year.
She did mention that George and Amal were keeping their name choices to themselves, a report that remained valid until their birth this morning. Unlike many other celebrities, the Clooneys went a more traditional route when it came to naming their newborn babies: Ella is currently the 12th most popular baby name in the United States while Alexander places 16th.
