Skip the Flight Sales—Use These Sites to Always Find Last-Minute Travel Deals
For me, whatever pangs of travel spontaneity I feel are usually squandered by one look at my bank account (and the sky-high fares that often come with booking last-minute). But as Travel+Leisure points out, inexpensive spontaneous travel doesn’t have to be a myth. The brand recently outlined the websites and apps their editors turn to when booking last-minute flights, hotels, car rentals, and more. Check out a few of their tried-and-true resources below.
Expedia. “Whether you want a flight, hotel room, car rental, or total trip package, Expedia’s easy-to-navigate app has thousands of last-minute choices for any destination,” they write. “Though prices are usually around 20% cheaper than published rates, it’s not unusual to find savings of up to 50%.”
HotelTonight. You can book a hotel room for the same day or up to a week in advance in over 1700 different cities on this app. “Look for properties with special Geo Rates, which target users based on their GPS location,” they recommend. “For example, while you’re waiting for a flight at the airport, search for a room at your destination—you can sometimes get a better deal than if you wait to book after you’ve landed.”
