Swim, snag, spritz, repeat—hello, long weeked, we’re on the countdown for you. There isn’t much we don’t love about a long weekend—from the joy-inducing summer weather, to the countless swims in our favourite cozzie, it doesn’t get much better.

For the ultimate weekend inspiration (because who doesn't want to make the most of our day away from our desks) we asked some of the country’s most stylish women to share their plans for January 26. From long lunches, to bloody mary filled BBQs in Palm Beach, these It girls certainly know how to celebrate living in the land down under. In need of some Aussie Day inspiration? You’ve come to the right place—scroll on.

It is a tradition to listen to the Hottest 100 on Triple J. My husband and I usually go down south and stay on the beach for the long weekend. The beach, the Hottest 100, and an Aussie BBQ–what more could you want?

I'll be spending Australia Day in God's country (the Northern Beaches)! I'll have an early morning swim and bake at Palm Beach and then will most definitely be hosting a BBQ and making a good bloody mary (or three) for all of my mates.

Our Australia Day plans have become quite a tradition—they’re not even discussed until a day or two before because we do the same thing each year! We head to someone’s house for a BBQ, we all bring a plate (this year I’m making a deconstructed pavlova), listen to the Triple J Hottest 100, and play card games before heading to the park for a game of soccer or cricket.
