5 Successful Women Reveal The Most Touching Christmas Gift They Have Ever Received
Christmas is a time of giving, and we all love to gift our nearest and dearest with personal, thoughtful presents we know they’ll adore. Post-Christmas, we love discussing the gifts we gave and the ones we received, so to get us (even more) excited to unwrap those goodies under the tree, we asked five successful women what was the most touching present they have ever been gifted. Scroll down read what they said.
“The gifts that always touch me the most are things or experiences that are absolutely from the heart. I love anything that is meticulously thought out and that can come in the simplest form. Some of the beautiful handwritten cards from my late grandparents I will cherish forever and so much more than anything material. I also absolutely LOVE experiences like going to see a show or going hang-gliding—things that I can share with the giver where we can laugh and build memories. It’s these moments that mean the most to me. I’m a bit sentimental that way.”
"My most touching gift has been from my grandmother, Nanna Gwyn. Every year, before her dementia really set in, she'd give each of her 13 grandchildren a gift voucher. As the eldest and the one who's spent the most time with her, she'd also give me something extra of hers... a little keepsake like a perfume atomiser. I will hold onto those forever."
“The most touching Christmas present I have ever received was one last year that my partner Anthony gave me. He compiled a photobook of all the highlight images of our year. It was such a thoughtful gift, filled with happy memories of special family times and I will treasure it forever!”
“My engagement ring! My husband, Oli, proposed on Christmas Day. Now, it’s about being with my children, Pixie and Hunter, and spending it as a family with no work distractions—that’s the best Christmas gift!”
“I spent Christmas with my husband in London when we were first dating. We were walking down Portobello Road Market wearing beanies and mittens and drinking hot chocolate looking at all the treasures. I fell I love with an antique ring from this quaint little brick-a-brack store. The next day, he got up early in the morning to collect it from the market and gave it to me on Christmas Eve. Whatta guy!”
