This Fashion and Fine Art Collaboration Is the Stuff of Decor Dreams

Nicole Singh

If you’re in the market for a timeless artwork you can proudly hang on your wall (without remortgaging your home first), the latest collaboration from The Undone and artist Caroline Walls is right up your alley. Available today, the limited-edition collection of prints celebrates both a pleasingly minimalist aesthetic as well as the female form. Owners of The Undone Sara Donaldson (also of Harper and Harley) and Georgia Martin are thrilled to add the covetable collaboration to their store's lineup, saying: “We are currently developing a lifestyle offering with art an obvious next choice, and Caroline Wall’s work is a perfect fit. It's refreshing to see curves and feminine features celebrated without being sexualised.” Couldn't have said it better ourselves. For her part, the artist says her background in fashion art direction and design meant the partnership felt natural: “We share a really similar approach to aesthetics, with an appreciation for minimalism and a streamlined colour palette.”

Take a peek at the exclusive works below.

The collaboration is yet another example of how the two Australian entrepreneurs behind The Undone are bucking the fast-fashion (and -décor) trend to create a curated space online for fine products of all stripes. “Our preference for elevated essentials doesn’t end with wardrobe, it transcends into every aspect of life, from your beauty cabinet to the way you style your home,” says Martin. “Overcomplicated artwork or fussy decor would feel out of place—we’re about collecting pieces to hold onto for the long-term, rather than a fleeting season.” We have to say, it’s pretty refreshing to see a company diversify their product offering in such a thoughtful way.

Want to know how to style the artworks? The Donaldson and Martin suggest framing your chosen piece to either lean on top of a bedside table, or buying a few to mount as a series. Or, "You could also convert one into a hero piece by choosing a larger frame to add a little more drama.” Be quick, we don't expect this fashion and fine art collaboration to last the week.
