The Eloise Factor: 10 Hotels
You'll Want to Call Home
by Melissa Goldstein

We daydream on a regular basis about moving into a "room on the tippy-top floor" of New York's Plaza Hotel, in the manner of author Kay Thompson's iconic children's book heroine Eloise. So we'll admit to being just a teensy bit envious of Crystal Meers, the Creative Director of new travel website Fathom, whose job it is to sample the chia seed-topped fresh fruit and avocado toast at the breakfast buffet at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, taste tequila by the pool at Baja's Rancho Pescadero, and close out the night with s'mores at Montauk's Crow's Nest Inn. We asked Meers to share her shortlist of notable decor destinations in which she'd most like to take up full-time residence--bookmark this one for your next special getaway. domaine-fathom-travel-thumbnail-09
