Shop the Room: Nolita's Coolest Kiwi Restaurant
We have a soft spot for Kiwis, so it's no surprise we fell hard for The Musket Room, a restaurant in Manhattan's Nolita neighbourhood inspired by the spirit and diverse cuisine of New Zealand. While Kiwi chef/owner Matt Lambert's local and seasonal offerings, like slow-poached Ora salmon and corned wagyu tongue, reflect Asian influences and Old World traditions, the interior design by Alexander Waterworth Interiors has a more rustic and contemporary style.Walking into The Musket Room, guests are greeted by a striking 20-foot walnut bar, which sits atop artful scalloped cement flooring. The designers used a combination of raw materials, like exposed lime-washed brick, and rich live-edge walnut timber to create the welcoming and casual atmosphere.
