One of L.A.'s Top Chefs Gets an Office Makeover
If you're a foodie like us, then you've probably eaten at one of L.A.'s most popular Thai hotspots, Night + Market on your last trip to the West Coast city. If you haven't, let us paint a picture for you: the interior design of this super-cool eatery is bursting with colour and flavour just like the delicious cuisine. Owner and head chef Kris Yenbamroong was recently crowned one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs of 2016, and it's easy to see why. His customer list reads like a Hollywood agent's black book, with celebrity fans including Drew Barrymore (Kris has cooked a private dinner at her home), Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba (who hosted a birthday dinner there and comes in frequently with her family), Brie Larson, Lena Dunham, and Ryan Gosling (who loves to get takeout.)
It turns out his excellent taste isn't just in the kitchen. Yenbamroong proved his interior design nous when he joined forces with Laurel & Wolf to make over his home office. While his restaurant is a riot of colour, Yenbamroong and his wife, Sarah St. Lifer, wanted a more serene home office where they can work on their new cookbook and plan the opening of their second restaurant in Venice. The result is a cool and chic retreat showcasing pieces the pair have collected on their travels.
