This Ex-Vogue Editor Reveals her All-Time Favourite Baby Names

Georgie Abay

I loved naming our girls. To be honest, the name of our first daughter (Arabella) was my husband’s suggestion. I’m not particularly fond of Bella and knew she’d inevitably be called that. Luckily, it has grown on me and I switch between Arabella and Bella. Her middle names are Grace (I just love that name) and Juliette (after my mother Julie). Our second daughter is called Charlotte but we call her Lottie. My husband’s great grandmother is German and her name was Lottie. It’s very special to us. Her second name is Lily, named after my great grandmother Lillian. I adore both their names. If Lottie had of been a boy, we’d have called him Luca. Or maybe Edward (Eddie—how cute?!). I’m also fond of very traditional names (Olivia, Edward, William). They’re strong, classic names that will never go out of fashion. Read on for my list of favourite names.
