This L.A. Mansion Is Now the Most Expensive Home in America—Tour It Here
A Los Angeles home has just earned the prestigious title of the most expensive home in America, surpassing this $195 million Manalapan, Florida estate by $5 million (USD). Perched atop 4.6 acres of land in L.A.'s luxurious Holmby Hills neighbourhood, the 56,500-square-foot home was just relisted with Hilton & Hyland for $200 million. Originally built for Candy and Aaron Spelling in 1988, the château-style home was sold to British heiress Petra Stunt back in 2011 for $85 million. Stunt outfitted the home with more modern décor, including black-and-white marble and dark velvet walls, increasing its value by over $100 million.
The mansion, affectionately known as "The Manor," boasts a staggering 14 bedrooms and 27 bathrooms, with the master suite including its own private kitchen, living room, and two-level closet, according to Business Insider. With over 123 rooms total, The Manor houses a full beauty salon, a bowling alley, a 100-car parking lot, a wine cellar, a tanning and massage room, five separate kitchens, and a sprawling outdoor pool.
