What Kelly Wearstler, Pharrell, and Lenny Kravitz Have in Common . . .

light Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, and Kelly Wearstler may not seem like they have a lot in common. But, all three were recently selected by Italian contemporary furniture company Kartell to reinvent the brand's famed Bourgie Lamp (left) in celebration of its 10th anniversary. They each succeeded in creating something completely original. In Wearstler's case, that involved completely reassembling the lamp in multi-coloured marble, encasing it in various semi-precious stones, and topping it with a rope shade. As if we should have expected anything less glamorous from the designer. See below for Kravitz and Williams' equally unique designs.

Other designers who reimagined the Bourgie lamp include: Snarkitecture, Rafael de Cárdenas, and Philippe Starck.  The lamps are on display at Kartell's SoHo flagship, 39 Greene Street, until June 21st.
