Ivanka Trump Reveals her Top Management Tips
With such a surname, it was almost inevitable Ivanka Trump was going to be a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. But the executive vice president of development and acquisitions at The Trump Organisation, and head of the Ivanka Trump lifestyle brand, has succeeded in her own right outside the shadows of her famed father, Donald.
The former model and mother of three revealed to Business Insider that one of her biggest focuses in business is helping her employees succeed, and more specifically, setting big goals with high expectations and helping her staff achieve them. “I set very bold goals, it’s how I’ve always been,” Trump told Business Insider. “I really view myself in some capacity as a cheerleader to help our individual team members accomplish the collective goals we’ve set out for ourselves, and to be a resource to them as they seek to do those things.”
To accomplish this, Trump arranges monthly guest speakers, teaches her staff to meditate, educates them on nutrition, and offers seminars about professional growth and leadership. “We have a lot of young people working for us, so I really put a lot of effort into thinking about how we can inspire these young people, how can we help them and aid them in their growth in areas outside of just what they do on a day-to-day basis,” she says. If every manager took a leaf out of Trump’s book, the corporate world would be a more successful place.
