To celebrate International Women’s Day, retail giant David Jones has released an exciting content series titled “Women in Conversation”, which was conceptualised and created to inspire Australian women. The series sees an influential group of Australian ladies discussing the important issues relating to women in today’s society—relationships, motherhood, gender equality, mental health, and self-belief.

The impressive and diverse line-up of 18 successful women includes the likes of Chief Commissioner of The Greater Sydney Commission, Lucy Turnbull; David Jones Ambassador and TV Personality, Jesinta Campbell; journalist and TV presenter, Lisa Wilkinson; and Studio 10 co-host and author and journalist, Jessica Rowe.

The first of four conversations, released today, explores the issues that matter to these women most—and it is nothing short of inspiring. One of our favourite quotes from the discussion was Rowe’s voice on women supporting women. “We do forget how far we still have to come as women, but also the enormous gains that have been made for our generations thanks to my mum and her mother’s generations,” Rowe says. “There’s so much that we do take for granted and I think we still have more to do—women are still not paid equally, and in so many parts of the world women don’t have the right to vote still, to travel, to go to school.” Watch—and be inspired by—the round-table discussion about all things women.
