India Hicks: Bring the Vacay Home

by Melissa Goldstein
British TV host, author, and designer India Hicks may be daughter to iconic decorator David Hicks and second cousin to Prince Charles, but it's neither her connection to British or design royalty that establishes her as an arbiter of escapist style. Rather, it's the fact the she lives on a tropical island in the Bahamas with the four children she shares with her boyfriend, interior designer turned hotelier David Flint Wood. The family's Robinson Crusoe (only fabulous) lifestyle serves as the inspiration for the designer's Island Living brand, which recently expanded to include her new collection for HSN. Sadly, we can't all live the tropical life, so we asked Hicks to make us a list of the items that evoke "vacation" to her--for those times you're stranded at home. domaine-india-hicks-title
