Drink Me: Grapefruit Rosemary Cocktail
If you're of the camp that dreams of cosy sweaters and crackling fires when it's sweltering outside and waxes poetic about warm sunny days and romps on the beach when you're feeling frost-bitten, then this drink is your jam. The perfect balance between the fresh taste of summer and the comforts of winter, this Grapefruit and Rosemary Cocktail will cure your grass-is-always-greener attitude at the first sip.
1/4 cup crushed ice
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
1 (1/4-inch-thick) slice grapefruit
1 1/2 ounces vodka
4 ounces seltzer water
grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish
1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle together ice and rosemary. Add grapefruit slice, and muddle again.
2. Pour vodka and seltzer water over muddled grapefruit mixture. Strain into a glass. Serve with ice, if desired. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a rosemary sprig.
