We Found All the Products for the Prettiest Rooms on Instagram
If we’re in a creative rut and our artistic engines aren’t firing, there’s one place we seek to refuel our inspiration tanks: Instagram. It’s an endless scroll of stylish possibilities, originality, trends, innovation, and concepts that always trigger new decorating ideas. We learn a different home styling tip at every double tap, and you can too. Taking notes from the MyDomaine Instagram’s most popular posts, we created our dream home, room by room, with interior tricks for getting the look. We guarantee you’ll heart them enough to re-’gram at least one of them. The question is which one?
Is there anything more magical than a freestanding clawfoot tub? Not really. The mere mention of the word inspires visions of personal pampering by candlelight with a glass of wine or perhaps a book in one hand as the warm water soothes our souls. But we digress. When it comes to bathrooms, there’s definitely a fine line between function and fashion, the latter being the least necessary in terms of daily use, but for us, aesthetics are everything. This fresh take on the humble restroom is likely a favourite thanks to its winning combination of mint paint (the next big colour trend), clawfoot tub, subway tiles, and vintage vanity. Oh, and we need to talk about that striking herringbone flooring.

If there’s one thing we love more than playing, it’s sleeping. Ah, the sweet bliss of slumber. To ensure we get the recommended shut-eye each night, it pays to create a dreamy room. The unique dome pendant lamp here provides the perfect soft filter to soothe weary eyes while the cool industrial hanging lights on either side of the bed are the ultimate reading companions. Of course the bedding is crucial; we love the crumpled linen for that luxe yet lived-in style that looks as cozy as it feels. And we’re not the only ones who feel as connected to this boudoir. Enter the sandman.
THE DREAM BOUDOIR
When Brooklyn Decker invited us into her eclectic Texan home, one space had us particularly transfixed: the dining room. The art enthusiast and design aficionado decorated her five-bedroom, five-and-a-half–bath abode herself, including this contemporary-cool eating room. To make this home truly her own, Decker reupholstered the chairs in vintage Mexican serape blankets she’d sourced from Etsy, and her brother handmade the striking timber table. It’s an ingenious combination of feminine meets masculine. The rough, raw wooden beam and timber flooring complement the colourful chairs in a shade Decker affectionately calls “margarita pink.”
While every room in the house deserves equal attention, we believe the entryway should have a little more prominence over the others. Just like with people, a killer first impression is critical to setting the tone and showcasing your home's personality, plus there's nothing quite as welcoming as a well-curated entrance. This fashionable foyer is by the talented L.A. designer Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors, who’s nailed that laid-back California-boho look, with a dash of chic. The large-scale round mirror is the perfect addition for busy people on the go (like us) who need a last-minute touch-up before they leave the house. Even the planter is chic.

This kitchen renovation by 100 Layer Cake founder Amanda Dawbarn is positively swoon-worthy, and by the nearly 10,000 likes, we can tell you agree. From the Carrara marble counter to the timber barstools and those stunning globe pendant lights, it’s everything we could ever dream of. Aside from its aesthetic beauty, the practical elements of this kitchen are what make it a standout. The island gives the cook ample room to move, not to mention adequate bench space (a crucial factor), allowing guests or kids to eat and chat with you without getting in the way. There are cupboards galore for much-needed storage, and the corner shelf is genius. It’s the perfect look for the colour-averse or anyone who prefers an all-white interior. That vintage kilim in the corner of the shot provides the perfect pop.
If you want to create undeniable chic factor and inject instant femininity, the chandelier is our secret ingredient. Take this room for example. It has all the creature comforts of home, a sofa you want to lounge on, a cool coffee table to rest your beverage, and a must-have gallery wall for visual interest, but overall, it's really a very simple space. That is, until you add a vintage empire-style crystal chandelier, and then boom—the room is transformed. It’s uncanny, really, but that’s the power of lighting. It’s not just the light it provides; the style of the fixture can really make or break a room. And this is one we want to dwell in all afternoon long.
