Before.[/caption] Fashion and lifestyle blogger Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere recently hired interior designer Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors to makeover her Los Angeles kitchen, and you'd expected from that stylish pair, the results are stunning. "When I first saw the house, my trained designer eyeballs instantly agreed with Emily and Geoffrey that they had really landed a beauty of a house," says Lewis. "The bones and the original details were amazing and the potential was endless. There was a beautiful original brick fireplace with an inglenook, a stunning coffered dining room ceiling, exposed beams in the kitchen, and a relatively open floor plan just perfect for entertaining." After.[/caption] While Schuman's kitchen wasn't as dated as many "befores" we've seen, the project did require a number of updates. Lewis replaced lighting, removed blinds, updated cabinet faces, installed new white subway tiles, refinished the floors, installed new cabinet and faucet hardware, added a wine fridge, painted the ceiling, and replaced the island with a stunning new stone number. Quite an impressive transformation. [caption id="attachment_41552" align="aligncenter" width="620"]After.
