A Cosy Copenhagen Home With a Kitchen We Want to Cook In
When you’re blessed with a house that already has beautiful old bones, you really shouldn’t mess with it too much. But while we’re all for patina, sometimes age really impacts the functionality of a space and requires a bit of renovation. This exquisite family home in Copenhagen is the perfect example of how to adapt to timeworn architecture. Featured in Bo Bedre, the gem belongs to world-famous Noma owner and chef René Redzepi along with his wife and three children. Importance was placed on keeping the underlying foundations, from the exposed beams to the original open fireplace and deep-set window sills, but our favourite room in the house? The cool kitchen and dining area, of course. Belonging to a chef, this was always going to be the heart of the home, and the results are truly stunning. Adding to kitchen pinspiration board now.
