Bon Appétit does it right again and again, consistently giving us mouthwatering recipes we can't wait to test in the kitchen. As loyal readers of the magazine, we've tried more than we can remember, but there are a few we return to again and again. From the classic skilled fried chicken to the adventurous bourbon sea-salt caramels, these all-time favourites never fail to please a crowd.

1fries The secret to golden-brown French fry perfection is frying them twice. Unfortunately there's no secret for restraining yourself from inhaling the whole batch.

PAIRS WELL WITH: Steak and burgers.

INGREDIENTS: Russet potatoes, canola oil.
